Eventful weekend

Weekend was really eventful…busy but really a lot of stuff that happened.

First thing in the morning, Koppie asked me what happened to my car. Blur blur….go out and see my car got vandalized! AARGGGHHHH…..some idiots sprayed paint onto my car from front to back!!!!!!!!!

Moreover, not only my car got sprayed…my neighbour’s cars also got sprayed….IDIOTS! Went to make a police report with my neighbour hoping that police will make more rounds at the housing area. Then brought the car for polishing and waxing to remove the paint. Luckily the paint was not too much so it can be removed. The good thing of this is, Koppie gave my car a treat :) (TQ Koppie!!!) For the first time in 5 years, I have not seen my car so shiny! Happy happy!

At home, we tried giving the twins semi-solid food. Caileigh LOVED IT!!! Aidan is not ready yet but we shall never give up. So on Sunday, i just cant wait to prepare the rice cereal and the feeding session. So cute. Before the spoon leaves the bowl, Caileigh opened her mouth wide and moved forward. Happy happy again!

Since TS was back, we went out for dinner on Sat and lunch on Sun…..eat too much *BURP*

It was a great weekend, despite the small incident with my car but hey…she got a SPA

Siew siew at Robson Heights

TS was back! For a gathering dinner I recommended that we go back to Siew siew at Robson Heights. My second time there :) The first time was a couple months back for Meow’s come back gathering. Kinda like it. This time, I get to order most of the dishes and tried some new stuff. The Char Siu (BBQ pork) was REALLY good….succulent and roasted to perfection. Besides this I also like the Vietnamese prawn curry. YUM YUM! As for the Stir fry chicken with rice wine….quite aromatic and not too much wine. Will definitely go again with other frens to try more stuff

1st row: Tauhu with minced meat (home specialty it seems), Tom yam steam fish

2nd row: The famous char siu, Stir fry veggies (4 dai tin wong)

3rd row: Mantau (that we dip into the Vietnamese prawn curry), Vietnamese prawn curry

4th row: Stir fry chicken with rice wine

Guilt ridden

I BOUGHT MY LEGO SET LIAO!!!! muahahahahaaha….saw it again at isetan while browing for mousies’s toys. Ended up buying MYSELF a toy *qua*qua*qua*qua*…..couldnt resist it anymore.

Luckily Koppie offered to sponsor the mousies’s toys and asked me to go indulge in my little desire. TQ Koppie!! But still, out of guilt, I bought them Spike the dinosaur! Really cute wun…

Gave my all…my last

Sent a msg today to 2 of my closest mom-buddies ‘Dear frens. I have realized tat this morn was my last pump. Let us mourn this sad day in peace’. It was meant to be a joke to them, my way of trying to handle this in a more positive manner. In fact, I was sad. Sad that it had to stop, partly by choice. Quite a dilemma as one hand it was a relieve. It will give me more time to spend with the mousies and rest. The other hand, it felt like an end to an important event (in fact it is…)
Then i realized, as a mother, this will not be the last choice that i have to make pertaining to the mousies. There will be more of these kind of hard choices. This is only the beginning….till the day i breath my last. Now I know how all mothers feel when they had to make a choice…just any choice. It is never easy and we will always wonder what happens with other alternatives. What will be different and how it will influence the entire matter. BUT I am sure that at the moment of decision making, there is only one thing in her mind: For her children to be happy!
I pray that I can make wise decisions in the future with God’s guidance. I pray that mousies will learn to make wise choices one day with God’s guidance.

Lego attack

KLCC Concourse area held a lego exhibition this week. On Wed lunch time, i went down to have a view and saw this set: Beach House on 10% discount. It can be constructed into 3 different model and best of all, it comes with a turkey drumstick for the BBQ pit. SO CUTE!!! So there were 2 sets on the shelve and I (back side itchy) decided to go back and think over it. Besides, its kinda expensive in MY. As usual, the testing period: go back, if heart still desires after 6 hours, then only can get it.

As I sat at my work place, heart yearns for it more and more. The more i talk to TV, the more i desire for it! ARGH! Right after work, I went looking for my cutie house. OUT OF STOCK!!! SO fast? Its an exhibition/sales period and they didnt even stock up?? Kinda crappy and BAD planning.

The next couple of days I went surfing around lego sites and ebay to check things out. Guess what I found: a town house set and the starting price is USD0.99, with 6 days more to deadline. SO COOL! Read from blogs that this set cost about RM400 and now with shipping fees and all, its less than RM250. Just need to make sure that no one bid for it MUAHAHAHAHAA

And so my watch on this item is on. On Friday, 16 bidders and the price is now USD69. That makes it more than what is sold here.

Went in and see who are the bidders and guess what…..the same 1 bidder at the starting point of USD0.99, bid it all the way up to USD68 in just a couple of days. THIS IS A SCAM! One bidder doing this to himself? I doubt. Must be the seller trying to make sure that he doesnt get any loss. Such a cheat! Such a heart break.

Decided to let this go and not be part of any kind of stupid unfair bidding game. I just dont understand, bidding should be a fair game. If there is a reserve price then the seller should state it in the first place. This is giving ppl false hope!

hmmmpppphhh! Geram! My heart will go on for lego and I shall one day find my house sets!

Vain pot….I am….

Ah Sui sent me a msg one day “What foundation are you using?”
Hmmm….suspicious…
“Why? Very white ar?”, i replied…..SILENCE from Ah Sui…….
After a while….”No ar, just wanna know”. I can sense that he’s trying to be nice. After a few days of probing, it was finally revealed. My face looks dry…..

I have always been a lazy person. For facial regimens…even worse. Not the type who would wanna spend a lot on facial stuff but after the arrival of the mousies, I find that my face is a bit dry. Not the crackling wood dry but still…..I am devastated. Went to Guardian, stood in front of the Face Care section for the longest time. So many products! 1 sales lady came along and tried to help me. The one that Ah Sui recommended was the latest product and I did ask about it. The lady said, “This is for aging people”….Wah lau eh…I felt a basin of cold water poured on me. So I asked….”errrr, aging means for how old ar?”. “28 and above lor”……

ARGGHHH!!!!!!

SIGH!! Fine….so I decided to buy one that is hydrating. Not too expensive.

Just when I felt the sky dropping on me, a group of colleagues were discussing about facial stuff. Just my topic of interest. There were SKII, Clinique and whatever brand that you can think of that they have used. Verdict? Expensive. Then came an interesting stuff that Ah Bu brought up. The traditional type of face powder (SUI FUN). The best part is, it’s natural (ok la….got a bit of flavouring). Viola….I have a bottle at home that mousies use and so I decided to give it a try. Hey, at least i need to know how they feel when they use it rite??

Took a few of the pill-like rice cake out, mixed it with water and applied on the face. Indeed, it feels cooling and got tightening effect but it smelt like I just had a bunch of meehoon slapped on my face. After it dried on my face, my entire face looked gholish white! The next morning when i woke up i still smell meehoon.

But after applying it for a couple of days, it seems pretty good. SKII is already made of rice but this cost me less than RM3 only! So i have a MUCH cheaper version of SKII. Not bad :D I AM SUCH A VAINPOT, but which woman isn’t, hehehe

Free NZ ice cream

Didn’t know that Facebook is now used to promote food stuff. Got a buzz on Thursday that there’s free JR ice cream for my birth year and 50% off for large ice cream (3 scoops) for familiy and friends that tag along from 5-8pm. Hard to believe wor. 50 free ice cream per outlet. Hmmm! Moreover, they generate random numbers every week and those with their birth year matching is entitled to this offer.

So at 4.45pm, me, Uncle and BuBu went to the NZ outlet at third floor. As we stood right in front of the stall…it looks empty. No long queue. Looks suspicious. I went to ask about the promotion. It’s true! But then i had to wait till 5pm. Fine….we just used up the time to try those yummy flavors. At one point, the sales person actually disappear to end out trying out frenzy. At 5pm sharp, she came back and asked for my desired one. BOYSENBERRY DREAM on cone!!! Free stuff taste yummy  Uncle bought the large one priced at RM7.40…quite a deal.

Then i asked the ultimate question…Do i get this everyday for the whole 5 days of promotion or is it a one time thingy. She said the magic word…YOU CAN COME EVERYDAY! WAHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh…JENG!

So I went back again on Fri after work and got myself another one! This time, Fruits of the Forest yogurt..double yummy!

Saisaki 50% off promotion

Uncle Chong, being quite a fan of Saisaki, prompted me the other day with the link to Saisaki’s latest promotion. Lunch buffet, 50% off….that makes it less than RM25 per pax! Wah, definitely go la. So we gathered the usual makan gang and off we went. Food seems to be the same. Uncle attacked the Steamed Cod Fish like there’s no tomorrow. All of us tried to out do Uncle but of coz we’re not as PRO as him la…

I just have to say that quality of food is still good and DEFINITELY better than Jogoya.

A great outing

Yesterday we went out on a second outing to the shopping malls with the twins. The last time we went was during CNY, which turned out to be quite horrific. This time, the twins were quite well behaved. Aidan was quite a chick magnet, smiling at ladies. Caileigh on the other hand was afraid to see so many strangers approaching her. Overall, we had fun and will definitely go for another outing :D

Bye bye house

Yesterday I went back to my old house to pick up some stuff and stood outside for quite a while. The moment i see it, i cried. Cried because it is no longer the house that I grew up in. Cried because it is no longer mine. The new owner had some walls inside hacked down, putting new roof to it. It no longer look like the one that I used to know and it seem so much smaller. All the memories flooded back. I remember that I used to put lots of candles on the gate around the house during Mooncake festival. The flickering lights in the darkness made the house look really pretty. I remember the times when I cycled round and round and round the garden, waiting for my dad to come home in the evening. At one point of my life, I took my reading outside in the evening, sitting at the stairs located at the back of the house. Having been there for all my life….it felt really strange and heart breaking to see it changing.

Walls can be torn down but not memories. Roof can be replaced but not the years that I have gone thru with the house. Bye bye house…..
