Next level

On Sat, the gang gathered at YL’s house. Everyone in the gang came and it’s quite rare for us to be able to have such a complete gathering, except The Kop as he has got a bowling competition to attend :)

It’s kinda fun to see that everyone is now at the next level. While the women gathered one side, the men had the role of being baby sitters. Quite funny to see this. Errmm, except for Mic (with the red arrow below) who still had the luxury to have a nap since his baby is still in the oven, hehehe

Now we have 5 kids and already its at a deafening noise level. By next year, we should have a total of 9 if everyone are able to attend. Wonder how that would be hahahaa

Ever growing

Been weeks since i last have anything interesting to write about. Nothing much had happened except for the normal routines. In addition to that is to ensure that the 2 mousies have enuff to eat and i gain weight correctly. I think i am growing quite fast, looking at the side width in the mirror…and i have an ever growing butt like a dinosaur!! Not only the butt, everything seems to be growing. ARGH!! But other than these control losing events, everything is just pleasantly fine

Upgraded

Finally my cell phone gave way. Yes, the no-color, no GPS, no camera phone is finally OUT! I think it must be some water that got in….I cant use 1,3,6,9 and . Had to get a new one…SIGH.

So off I went and got myself a reasonable phone. This time, it’s got color. And the best part is, it comes with radio hehehe. Still no camera and other fancy stuff (Nokia 1650). Just a basic phone. I’m happy already since it has some features that my older one dun have :D

Tai Thung Dim Sum

Last fri, my teammies and I had a farewell lunch for Tee. As usual, we didnt know where to go since we are well travelled within KLCC. So I suggested Tai Thung at Wisma Dredging.

This is definitely not my first time but I like the noodles here. All 16 of us went and had a LOT of dim sum. Portion was quite generous. The only thing that I dun fancy is their Shanghai Siu Lung Pao. It came in this weird foil cup and to make it worse, its really dry inside….not nice. The Yee Wat Mun Yee Mee is still may favourite. YUM YUM! I think everyone kinda like that as well :)

Ajisen Ramen

Since I was introduced to this ramen restaurant in SG 5 years ago, I fell in love with this place and everytime I go SG, I wouldnt fail to go. Last Sat, guess what??? It is finally here in MY!! Located in Sunway Piramid some more. Went in to try out their ramen, ordered Volcano Ramen and gyoza. The taste is still as great…siiighhhh…I felt so contented and happy after that meal that I didnt even have dinner hahahaha. I WILL BE BACK!

Bee Won @ Ampang

Been quite a long time since my teammies and I had a gathering. Last Fri, we went to Bee Won, a Korean restaurant at Ampang’s Little Korea. We ordered a BiBimbab, a Kimchi and Dumpling pot, Stri fried glass noodles and for grilling, we had pork ribs and fresh pork slices.

When the kimchi pot came….I attacked that….YUMMY! Spicy enuff for my taste bud. The stir fried glass noodles was very nice as well. Portion for that was quite generous.

The pork ribs were grilled to perfection….juicy still after grilling. The disappointing one was the fresh sliced pork. I think they grilled it a bit too long…so it turned out to be quite dry. But nevertheless, once you wrap it up with the lettuce, it still taste nice.

Looking forward to the next outing :)

Bermuda & Onion

To celebrate TV’s birthday, we decided to give her a small surprise. Ok la…i think she have a clue on where we’re going but to make everyone happy, I think we did quite a good job in giving her a nice surprise :D

So I went on a mission to scout on the net for nice place for our din-din. Bermuda & Onion came up and hey, it’s near KLCC. Off we went, the 5 of us. Found the place easily at Changkat Bukit Bintang. A very nice cosy restaurant indeed. I like the ambience and the settings. Not too formal but just nice for a gathering. The staff were very friendly and approachable.

For starters, they gave a basket of bread with chicken hummus and cucumber cheese dip (i think its cucumber coz when the bread came, my eyes were on them and not much ears on the explanation). The dips were nice but chicken hummus was not really me….

Clockwise from top left: Logo, Bread with dips, Okra & Tomatoes, Parma Ham & Rock Melon, Prawn and Ham, Bacon & Aparagus

For starters, we ordered 3 different skewers; bacon and aparagus, prawn and ham and okra and tomatoes. YUMMY!! They were grilled to perfection and still so juicy. The sauce was a great combination. Another one that we ordered was the Rock Melon and Parma Ham (the actual name is Proscuitto and Melone)….ICHIBAN AR!!! All hail to porkiessss!

Once our tummies were a bit more settled, we went on to sharing main course. Qline ordered a Mixed BnO, consisting of sausages, ribs, loin and belly. It is stated to be enough for 2 but to me, it’s enough for 3, if you order starters as well. The other one is Deep Fried Pork Scallophine. It a few pieces of deep fried pork with fresh mushroom sauce. Even with the pork fried, they still tasted juicy. I love the mushroom sauce, the plump mushroom….Ou la la!

Deep Fried Pork Scallophine and Mixed BnO

By the time, it all ended, we all have to carry put tummies out the door. The prices are quite reasonable and portions are quite generous. A definite come back for me!

Ridiculously silly

At 4pm yesterday, Government announced a petrol price hike to 2.70, as expected since this is a global issue and we have exhausted the dead dinosaurs. So i thought, luckily I have pumped a full tank yest morn. I knew there would be a rush for everyone to fill up their tank but I never imagine the madness it will create!!
From KLCC, I had to endure jam all the way back home all because motorists flock to every single petrol station, causing a major road block for everyone who intend to go home. It took me 2.5 hours just to get past those petrol stations and jams. Bear in mind…..a hungry woman is an angry woman.
Right after I bought my dinner, I couldnt help but try to race home to eat it but again, I was stuck 1 km from my own home!!! So near yet so far. The petrol station nearby was filled to the brim with cars coming from all directions, ignoring all traffic manners and rules. My goodness!! Another 20 mins stuck in the madness. I had to swerve left and right just to get out of that stupid jam.
No way am I gonna get myself in this kind of madness. Imagine that you have to queue up for hours. If you’re lucky you will get the petrol and save RM15-20 for the day. If you’re unluckily, after hours of queueing, you end up with a ‘No more petrol’ sign. Already I have to endure traffic jams and hunger…..to go thru that? No way…I rather eat less *humphhh*
This morning, almost all petrol station are empty…practicaly no more petrol to sell.
Pure madness!

Cuppie cake

I am bored!! So freaking bored that I dont have anything to post recently until…..TODAY! I fell asleep on my desk today (fatigue, Monday blues…yada yada…i just wanna sleep :P ) and miraclously I woke up to 2 cuppie cakes. They were from Coffee Bean. Looks so pretty and I bet they are yummy too :D
happy…happy..arent they cute?

Cabinets

At long last, after 4 long years….I have kitchen cabinets built in! With a plus point, I have a built in oven as well! Now my kitchen is complete and I can start to grill and bake and do watever I have been longing for…..
